Heavy Duty Salesman

  • Skills and Attributes: The ideal candidate should have 2 to 5 years of sales experience in the industry or related industry. In addition, the candidate must have superior customer service and relationship skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Responsibilities: The position will service an assigned sales territory and is responsible for:
    • Diligently analyzing existing and potential customers in assigned territory and maintaining historical records on the territory and customer sales.
    • Planning and organizing daily work schedule to call/visit existing and pursue growth opportunities.
    • Servicing existing customers through submission of sales orders and resolution of customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions.
    • Monitoring competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
    • Communicating results with management by submitting reports, such as daily call reports and weekly work plans and recommending changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results, and competitive developments.
    • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
